Professor Salma Khaled

Law is not taught the same way it is argued. Salma Khaled knows this better than most. Since 1997, she has moved between the lecture hall and the courtroom, between academic research and the concrete defence of her clients' interests.

Her career began at the Faculty of Law in Tunis, where she methodically rose through every academic rank to earn the Agrégation in 2015, ranking first in her cohort. Today a Professor at the Institut des Hautes Études Commerciales de Carthage, she trains the next generation of legal minds while maintaining an active practice at the Tunis and Paris Bars.

This dual perspective gives her a unique vantage point on contemporary legal challenges. Whether untangling a shareholder dispute, defending a patent, or arbitrating an international banking conflict, she draws equally on doctrine and lived courtroom experience. Her fields of focus — business law, intellectual property, arbitration and mediation — mirror the realities of an increasingly complex and interconnected commercial world.

Beyond Tunisia's borders, she contributes to the work of the Tunisian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce and regularly serves as an arbitrator in international proceedings. The author of four books and over fifty articles, her writing explores the grey zones where law meets technology, e-commerce, and digital transformation.

What sets her apart? A pragmatic approach rooted in economic reality — built on years of research and tempered by litigation experience. A meticulous legal practice in service of pragmatic solutions, not merely principles.
